‘Surprising Singapore: 101 Things to Do’ is a concise, fun book that guides the user through Singapore allowing one a true sense of local life through historical, cultural, experiential, epicurean, and hands-on activities. The book is targeted at tourists of all ages, locals with a sense of fun, and expatriates who have recently migrated.
Organized into 12 distinct precincts, the book is set up to give the user options with which to use it. It comes equipped with a key for easy identification, is broken into six different categories, and includes a discount coupon for many of Singapore’s top museums and cultural institutions.

Precincts included are:
1. Chinatown
2. Arab Street
3. Little India
4. Geylang Serai
5. Holland Village/Dempsey
6. Katong
7. Changi Village
8. Rochester Park/Portsdown Road
9. Colonial District (Empress Place, Esplanade all the way to the Flyer/Barrage)
10. Serangoon Gardens
11. Alexandra/Gillman Village/Holt Park
12. Beach Road/Crawford Lane

At the beginning of the book, we will have a simple guide on how to use the book. There are 3 ways basically: firstly, one can just look to the spread that details all the 101 things, decide on which he is interested in experiencing and just going directly to the page/activity. Secondly, one can start from the beginning and go through the whole 101 things to do. Lastly, one may also take bite-sized pieces and go to the specific precinct/s one is interested in and embarking on the entire experience within the area/s.
